Description:
1971 Series 3 XKE Fixed Head Coupe, that has recently had a extensive restoration, aprox. 3500 hours.
Original Matching numbers and factory colour specification of Pale Primrose Yellow.
The original V12 engine (numbers matching) was disassembled, checked, changed all gaskets and professionally adjusted; also all consumables have been changed, oil, all liquids,electronic ignition, spark plugs, filters, belts, pipes. All 4 Zenith-Stromberg carburetors have been disassembled, cleaned and adjusted properly Basically now the engine is like new and starts easily, It’s powerful, and sounds impressive!
Manual transmission is also checked and works very smooth, the clutch has been changed.
It also has complete suspension restoration including, dampers, bushing, tie rods.
The power brake was disassembled, cleaned,and all gaskets and pads changed. The rear axle (which everyone avoids) has been completely disassembled and revised.
The interior it was rebuilt with leather (better than the original) and is impeccable . All the seals are new ,and there are no leaks.
The entire electrical installation has been checked and functioning, including all gauges.
The bodywork has been professionally painted in the original color (Pale Primrose Yellow) and is perfect. All Chrome is in very good condition. Always garage kept. Perfect condition inside and out, as well under the hood and body.
This car was owned by the Legendary County Music Singer Hank Williams Sr's daughter Jett Williams. In 1991 She put the car stored in a Museum in Nashville TN for 25 years . It was bought by me from USA in 2016, and for 3 years it was professionally restored. When it was bought by me, the car had only 40.100 original miles on board, and since the restoration I have added 200 miles.
This is a great example of a show quality Jaguar E type, matching numbers.
